Why Feel Guilty

The essence of philosophy is to learn to “grin and bear it.”

For many years L. Ron Hubbard had the rather grim task of going on about his work, doing his job, regardless, waiting for the tide of opposition to turn as it finally did. It was not easy.

It all began in 1949 when he first released twelve years of independent research into the field of the mind.

With the help and advice of an associate, who was a medical doctor, he offered his work first to the American Psychiatric Association and then to the American Medical Association.

This was the proper thing to do and he did it. The AMA simply wrote him, “Why?” and the APA replied, “If it amounts to anything I am sure we will hear of it in a couple of years.”

They have heard of it.
